New York CNN —Meta’s Oversight Board is set to evaluate the company’s handling of deepfake pornography amid growing concerns that artificial intelligence is fueling a rise in the creation of fake, explicit imagery as a form of harassment. “Deepfake pornography is a growing cause of gender-based harassment online and is increasingly used to target, silence and intimidate women – both on and offline,” Meta Oversight Board Co-Chair Helle Thorning-Schmidt said in a statement. The board makes recommendations to the company about how to handle certain content moderation decisions, as well as broader policy suggestions. The second case involves an AI-generated image of a nude woman being groped, which was posted to a Facebook group for AI creations. EV sales growth has been slowing for a while but in the last two quarters, EV sales didn’t increase much at all, according to estimates from Cox Automotive. “Looking at the data, the big [EV] slowdown is shaping up to be a Tesla slowdown,” said Valdez Streaty. Denmark's National Maritime Authority had earlier warned ships not to sail through the Great Belt strait, one of the world's busiest sea lanes and the main maritime access to the Baltic Sea, due to the risk of "falling missile fragments". "The problem occurred during a mandatory test where the missile launcher is activated and cannot be deactivated," the military said in a statement. "Until the missile launcher is deactivated, there is a risk that the missile can fire and fly a few kilometres away," the military added. The warning covered an area some four kilometres (2.5 miles)south of the Great Belt bridge, which crosses the strait.

The military said that only the booster was activated, not the engine that takes over after launch, and not the warhead, so the missile could not travel far and the warhead could not detonate. Singapore, Denmark and U.S. are the best places in the world to conduct business, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit business environment ranking. "Singapore will remain the best geography in the world to do business, as it has for the past 16 years," EIU's Country Forecast Manager and Europe analyst, Prianthi Roy, told CNBC. Factors driving the Southeast Asian nation's place as a premier business destination is its political stability and the government's focus on helping domestic private-sector companies upgrade technologically, she said. The EIU's ranking assesses the attractiveness of doing business across 82 countries and territories, and is measured based on indicators such as inflation, cost of living, economic growth, and fiscal policies. The gauge also offers insights to which economies are better placed for growth than others, and an "effective way to identify where an uptick in investment spending may soon be coming," said EIU's analysts.

My first conscious memory occurred on the lower landing of a staircase that spiraled up four floors of the 14th-century, moat-encircled Gjorslev castle in Denmark. And now, five decades later, I’m standing on the same spot, this time with a statuesque Danish woman in stylish Japanese casual wear. “This is roasted and steamed tea from Korea,” Mette Marie Kjaer tells me, offering a pleasant cup of miso-tinged brew. Ms. Kjaer runs her Asian tea company, Sing Tehus, from a rented wing of the castle, offering tea ceremonies and yoga retreats while maintaining Gjorslev’s status as the oldest continuously inhabited building in Scandinavia. After half a century of benign neglect following my grandfather’s departure, the castle is hosting not just yoga and tea events, but arts festivals, medieval fairs and even a summer musical theater in its courtyard.
